Shooting through the glass
- Put the lens against the window and shade it with your hand to remove reflections.
- Bring a microfibre cloth; the glass is heavily used.
- Turn off the flash — it bounces straight back at you.
- For night shots, brace the phone or camera against the frame instead of using a higher ISO.
Best conditions
Clear weekday mornings after wind or rain give the sharpest long-distance detail. Golden hour delivers the most atmospheric frames, and the 20 minutes after sunset balance sky colour against city lights better than full darkness.
