From the viewing floors you can trace the whole Bosphorus corridor by its lights: the bridges, the ferries crossing between continents, the coastal roads on both shores. Haze matters far less after dark than during the day, so a night visit is a reliable fallback when the afternoon has been grey.
Turn off your flash, press the lens to the glass and cup your hand around it to block interior reflections. A phone in night mode braced against the window frame will outperform a handheld camera at a wider aperture.
